Macbeth

"For this project, I will be designing for an adaptation of Macbeth set in the 1910's.

For the story to fit into this slightly more modern context, I have decided to redesign Macbeth as a naval officer. He is told by sea spirits that he will become an Admiral and this prophecy comes true.

Lady Macbeth is his aristocratic wife who is part of a powerful upper class family. She writes to Macbeth and convinces him to kill the Admiral of the Fleet, Duncan, so that Macbeth can take his position.

The costumes will be made with Harris Tweed® and orange waxed cotton, with 1910's undergarments and silhouettes."
